If you'd like to participate without a chance at the prize, leave a comment on the blog with a link to your own blog entry, showing your creation based on that week's technique!

How Do I Join?

  • Read the Weekly Challenge and give it a try !
  • Scan or photograph your results!
  • You may choose to incorporate the technique into a finished piece, or just do the technique only.. It's your choice.. PERFECT for those of us who are time challenged!

I'm currently exploring automated ways, to have only that week's participants shown.

How Do I Submit an Entry for the Current Challenge ?

Optional: Add it to the Try It Tuesdays Group Pool at Flick'r. Joining the Flick'r group is optional, but highly recommended, as we will discuss the techniques, have special announcements, and entries showcased on the site will be chosen from the group pool. You may submit as many entries to this group as you like, as long as it's pertaining to Try It Tuesdays!

What are the rules for entering ?

The *pdf file makes it easy for people to reference and print from .. and ensures that the author's information is always with the file. The author maintains all copyrights. Once the week has ended, the technique & *pdf file will be archived on the site.

What Kinds of Techniques are Allowed & Explored?

Any kind of art and crafting technique will be considered, as we'll explore all mediums. This is a great way for everyone to stretch, and challenge themselves artistically. We are looking for tutorials & techniques that artists can try at all levels as there is something to be learned from everything.. no matter how basic it may seem. It's a jumpstart to the creative process.

We are not looking for tutorials on a finished piece of art. Our challenge focuses on the elements that go into a final piece of art. Backgrounds, Transfers and Embellishments are just a few of the areas we will cover. Just Email me if you have any question as to what qualifies.

From time to time, we may have a time intensive technique featured… but our main goal, is to inspire everyone to get into their studios that week! So techniques that can be done in a reasonable amount of time, and with base materials are always given first consideration. However, ALL techniques will be considered…. we don't want to miss out on sharing something new!
